Temporary lights at junction of Pentonville Rd and Penton Street for alleged Thames Water works are totally inadequate and too basic. It was a shambles today. Traffic queued there today right back to Kings Cross, while the lights only went to green every 7 mins or so!! Worse, it was a "4-way" system (needlessly), forcing traffic which normally flows two-way up and down Pentonville Rd and Penton Street to wait twice as long as might have been necessary, because only one direction of traffic got "green" at any point. This is utter incompetence from whoever installed the system on what's obviously a really busy London road. Please rectify it and if the works must continue put a proper set of lights in which allows two-way flow on Pentonville Road. Traffic congestion today was an avoidable shambles caused by this ridiculous deployment of the cheapest n' nastiest set of basic lights without regard to the actual roads involved.
