A Pedestrian wait button not working problem has been found

Over the last week I have been counting how long I've been waiting at the lights between pressing the button and them turning green. It has generally been 45 seconds, so I assume the changes have not come into affect yet.

I understand that the theory behind waiting for 45 seconds is so that all of the pedestrians bunch up and cross together meaning there is less red phases for cars.

However, the cars are generally backed up, or moving very slowly at these lights because of the roundabout south and the junction to the north. so adding in more green phases for pedestrians will have no/limited impact on the flow of cars.

May I suggest that you change it so that it goes green for pedestrians as soon as it is pressed, and then there is a 45 second gap after it turns red for pedestrians before it will turn green again. May I also suggest that this happens at all times not just the school run?
