Temporary pedestrian crossing lights not working correctly
Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 17:11, Wed 6 July 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3655874.
The temporary pedestrian crossing at Charterhouse street and Farringdon street are not set up correctly and the green Man goes on while traffic is still flowing. Very dangerous.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. Our team had investigated this for you and found that these are temporary traffic signals in place for roadworks. We have reported this issue to the contractor on your behalf and requested that they attend the location as soon as possible. I have come on here to report the same problem. I agree with the original complainant that this is "very dangerous". I see it was reported 12 days ago and it has still not been fixed. I have tried ringing the number on the lights but it is always unavailable. There is a serious safety risk. Today I witnesses a cyclist nearly collide with a pedestrian who was crossing on green. This is the only place the road can be crossed as the other side is blocked off. It is not safe.

This remains a significant safety issue. When is action going to be taken?
