Noisy manhole cover
Reported via desktop in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 10:41, Mon 18 July 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3683804.
I am writing to advise of a loose manhole cover on the Aylmer Road, nearest the traffic lights. This has been sounding like a shotgun for the past week, and it's a very high traffic area.
I have attached a picture of Google Maps, and highlighted the manhole covers which I believe the noise is coming from, it's one of these if not both of them. I think it's the one on the right, nearest the red car.
Please can you investigate this matter and fix the issue?
It's possible the noise from the loose cover is from one of the attached, but it's definitely within this area. I live on the Aylmer Road near Topps Pizza and because of the high volume of traffic, it sounds like a shotgun every time a car travels over it.
