Cover has been uplifted by heavy vehicle - safety hazard
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within one hour. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair. Your Ref FMS3685812. Dear tfl FOLLOWING YOUR REPLY. CAN YOU ADVISE ME ON THE CURRENT STATUS OF THIS SAFETY HAZZARD.
THE COVER WAS AS FAR AS i COULD TELL RE-INSERTED AND THEN REMOVED AS I FIRST FOUND IT..... . I WAS PUZZLED AND HAD A CLOSER LOOK AND COULD SEE THAT THE LOCKING MECHANISM MEANS IT CANT BE LOCKED.
