Traffic light at corner of Birdcage Walk and Spur Road.

Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 12:47, Tue 16 August 2022

Sent to TfL 3 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS3757984.

L_Lighting - Issue type: Lighting fault. Street light type: Lamppost. Fault details: Light on constantly. title: Dangerous traffic lught

Detail: Traffic light at corner of Birdcage Walk and Spur Road.

When traffic is stopped by a red light in one direction, it is still green in the other. But because the traffic has stopped, pedestrians cross the road assuming it has stopped in both directions, which it has not. This is particularly dangerous as pedestrians don’t see the approaching traffic from around the corner. It has become far more hazardous recently since the big increase in tourists visiting Buckingham Palace, who are less familiar with our traffic systems. Mike Honour Local resident [email protected]
