Mile long traffic jams as A3 lane blocked for pavement works

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 10:24, Monday 22 August 2022

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3771653.

Where A3 and South Circular part company on West Hill A3 lane blocked off due to Thames Water work on pavement. This means all traffic stops when South Circular lights are red, which is majority of time, Traffic jam eastbound from this point down West Hill, through Wandsworth, up East Hill and along Battersea Rise. Would you want live along that stretch of road with idling cars/buses/lorries all day? Thames Water to use 3 shifts to work on this leak, not block road to provide pavement
