Manhole missing in middle of road
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3815411.
Manhole cover is missing, called council to report and they have stated its a TfL concern.

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within one hour. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair. I was driving along the Old Kent Road, about 5:00am today (Sep 15, 2022) and went over a large manhole cover which is missing. It was dark so it could not be seen. This has severely damaged my car resulting in causing a completely flat tyre immediately. I am very frustrated to see that this was reported a number of days ago and has not been repaired on a major road. This could cause a severe accident if it is not repaired immediately. Can you please ensure that it is fixed asap and advise how I can claim for the repairs now needed to my car.
