Fixed
The wait button is still not working
Reported via mobile in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 11:18, Mon 12 September 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3818997.
Hi again I am writing as the report has been updated as fixed which is untrue. This morning it switched off 7 times before the traffic light turned green. As I have said before there are schools and nurseries nearby, which makes a malfunctioning traffic light a serious issue. Most people don't even bother to wait anymore and just cross whenever they see fit. This is not only really dangerous but also shows a really bad expample to younger pedestrians and road users. I really hope nobody gets hit by a car but it looks like this is the only thing that would mean you are taking this issue seriously. This issue has been reported many times and many times it was marked as fixed. As this issue doesn't seem to be very important, I will take this complaint to the TFL ombudsman unless this is permanently fixed in 7 days by Monday the 19th of September. You had plenty of chances the fix it within the 28 days period, which was clearly ignored.
I really hope this issue will be resolved without having to waste my time and having to take my complaint further, but I will do so if you continue with your inaction and thus endangering the lives of every single person using this crossing.
And a quick note , I do not care about your apologies or anything of that matter as they are clearly not genuine. Fix the light that is the only thing that matters.
Best, Laurin

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fault with the pedestrian wait button. We have therefore referred this to our contractors and it will be fixed within 28 days. Should you need anything else or have any questions, you may wish to contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234
Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer

This is the same reply as last time and absolutely nothing has changed it really shows how much disregard tfl has for the safety of people. It is disgusting and shocking. I hope this will be fixed within 7 days as I will otherwise contact the ombudsman and take this complaint as far as I need to. The last 28 days were clearly not enough as nothing happened. It is a shame that I need to spend my time to chase up faults that should have been fixed many times already.
