Pedestrian wait gets cancelled
Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 10:05, Mon 26 September 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3848839.
After wait button is pressed on either side of crossing wait light comes on but will go off before allowing pedestrians to cross. This can happen multiple times in one cycle. I saw this has been reported many times and has been a problem since the lights were re-configured some years ago. It looks like you are closing these request without addressing the problem? This is a material problem as due to the unreasonable low prioritisation for pedestrians at this crossing if an opportunity to cross is missed it can be a very long wait for the next one.
