The timing at this junction seems to have gone awry. It is scarcely allowing four cars to exit Crofton Road, causing congestion leading up to the lights.

This is under investigation under the fault reference CUB0125374. There are communication issues with the site so it is dropping off the monitoring system which is causing timing issues. Currently with Comms supplier for this site. MF

The traffic lights at the junction of Farnborough Common and Crofton Road are causing serious congestion in all directions. I suspect that the sequencing has been changed for some reason but the effect is making matters worse not better. I would be interested to know what, if anything, you are going to do about it. Perhaps return to the old sequence would help.

Traffic lights at junction Crofton Road and Farnborough Common are phased incorrectly. The green traffic light from Crofton Road is so short that only 3 cars are able to pass through, consequently causing tail back and congestion down Crofton Road.

Nothing seems to have been done, the lights at junction with Croydon Road and Farnborough Common remain on red much longer than before causing long tailbacks in Croydon Road.

Please urgently improve the traffic light phasing at A21/A232 and Crofton Road BR6. Long queues of stationary traffic in residential area reported for two weeks with no improvements made. Also impacts emergency vehicles attending nearby hospital. This is unacceptable, causing potential risk to life for persons in emergency situations, and moderate harm to residents due to increased pollution.

This is beyond a joke now, Traffic exiting Crofton Road has 8 seconds of green light. Traffic travelling along Farnborough Common has over a minute. The result is traffic backed up past the shops and sometimes past Starts Hill Road. All the more annoying when you can see no vehicles on Farnborough Common. Apart from the increase in pollution caused by waiting vehicles, it must be having an adverse impact on emergency vehicles.

1st report was 3 Oct! Just how many people will die or become more seriously ill waiting on Ambulances there en route to A&E 1/2 mile away b4 you fix this!! Someone or many people need to be reprimanded at the very least for not taking human life seriously. Fix it now!

This problem is still unresolved. Due to the proximity of the Princess Royal Hospital it is unacceptable that this level of congestion should be allowed to continue. Please fix it urgently

So I presume that TFL have decided to ignore all the complaints from local residents and leave the traffic lights as they are, causing long tailbacks down Croydon Road and Crofton Road. Maybe this was actually the desired effect.

I have referred this to our Area Team to further investigate the issues being reported. MF

This junction is now making locks bottom dangerous, the updated phasing allows 2 cars across the a21 at one time! Absolute joke and strange how this has been put into effect just as well he ULEZ is trying to be extended!! Sounds abrupt but you need to sort this out asap before something happens!!

They is still no improvement at this junction. The first reports of a problem were over three weeks ago. It's about time something was done to correct the timing of the green phase when leaving Crofton Road at the A21 junction. I have seen for myself the problems it is causing ambulances to and from the local A&E hospital
