This traffic light; I recorded it and timed it, it changed from red to green and back to red all under 10 seconds
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 13:50, Sun 27 November 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS3997181.
This timing is causing a lot of back load of traffic into Southall as the green light changes far too quickly, not allowing enough cars to go though. Ultimately causing a lot of traffic and back load of cars trying to leave Southall.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has now been investigated and we can confirm that there is a non-urgent fault at these traffic lights. We have therefore referred it to our contractors, and you should see an improvement within 28 days. If you need anything else, or have any questions, please contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234
Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer.

Still not working causing unnecessary tail backs and pollution from idling of vehicles.

The traffic lights on the Hayes by pass are changing far too quickly. They need to be rectified as an emergency as it’s causing a lot of chaos including delays of up to an hour. In addition to this potential accidents are likely to happen due to many schools around this area. Please put this as an emergency as it’s getting ridiculous.

This is still happening and nothing has been done . When is something being done ?

Urgent: the lights on the roundabout are not letting enough cars through therefore causing an immense amount of traffic. This needs immediate action.

It has added an extra 30 minutes to my journey time from work to home just because of these lights - how is this a “non urgent” issue when it’s affecting so many people? Unnecessary

I run a business in Springfield Road and have done so since 1988. This issue is having an impact on customers no longer coming into our business to collect as the traffic is so bad. The 21 staff that work hear are having an extra 30 minutes on average added to their journey to get home of an evening. Can this please be made a priority, rather than a non urgent 28 day response.

This is affecting local business's and making it very dangerous for peoples trying to cross the road. Many cars are jumping the lights and there are lots of children around during the schools starting and ending times.

The timings are still every 8 seconds causing backlogs especially during rush hours and school traffic

This traffic light stay green less than 10 seconds and causing lot of traffic on the Uxbridge road and of course pollution too. It is being like this for more than a week. Please repair this ASAP.

Still ongoing, timed how long the light stays green for and it’s exactly 4.5 seconds which is absolutely ridiculous

It’s now still not working. When is anyone going to do anything about these lights
Posted anonymously at 16:00, Thu 15 December 2022
The lights at the roundabout heading towards Uxbridge, are not operating properly, as it only lets 3-4 through before it goes back to red. This is causing a backlog of traffic going all the way to Southall Broadway. This is really frustrating, it has been reported on your portal by different people, without nothing being done as yet. Can someone please expedite this as we have put up with this for long enough without anything being done about it.

Why hasn’t this issue been sorted yet? If there was a half a second delay with a traffic light outside Buckingham Palace I’m sure you’d be there in under an hour to sort out the issue. During xmas time this has caused so much chaos in the area and it was reported around a month ago. So pathetic.
