No street lighting and dangerous pavement surfaces
Reported via mobile in the All out - three or more street lights in a row category anonymously at 08:13, Thu 1 December 2022
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4007187.
The lights have been out from the BP garage on the north circular; inclusive of the rail tunnel all the way to Pinkham way since September! Not a few days….. I can’t understand why nothing has been done.
The tunnel has become a significant health hazard. Tonight I had an accident slipping on piles of pigeon excrement and filth I couldn’t see in the pitch black and nearly fell into traffic; I’ve actually ripped my jumper and have a cut on my elbow. (This is in part due to someone’s decision to remove the pigeon netting and never replace in over a year ago, if there were lights I would’ve seen it though)
People are electing to WALK DOWN THE A406 rather than risk slipping in the mess of the pitch black tunnel On the pavement.
In addition; the pavement on the westbound carriageway is unusable due to mud and other scum coming out of the ground following the Thames water repairs undertaken in October / November. We now have to walk on the grass verge most the way.
This is beyond dangerous and has literally become a health hazard and needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.
Perhaps you don’t realise people live here, and we deserve safe, clean well lit journeys.
