Recurrent flooding

Reported via mobile in the Flooding category anonymously at 14:28, Fri 23 December 2022

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4055310.

Recurrent flood in front our house causing safety issues for pedestrians. This issue was already communicated to TfL 2 months ago (Ref: 17589897) but nothing was done to fix it.

We have two small children at home and currently it is almost impossible to access our property given the floods. This is quite troubling and it has had a big impact in my wife’s mental health given sometimes she is unable to take our baby out for a walk. Also, we have recently had an accident as she was trying to circumvent the flood to access our property.

  • This issue has not yet been resolved. This is causing serious safety issues for my family as we need to walk on the road to avoid the flood. We have a small baby and this is really impacting our wellbeing. Can TfL please do something to fix this?

  • There’s considerable risk to life if this does not get resolved asap. I have seen today an incoming vehicle on A316 almost taking a pedestrian out while he tried to pass across through behind the parked cars in order to avoid the deep water.
