Major pothole

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 16:19, Thu 29 December 2022

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4065170.

Huge pothole or road damage on A40 Westway Paddington flyover eastbound Huge pothole road damage eastbound on 3rd lane if A40 Westway Paddington flyover. I hit it just as Grenfell tower was in sight directly to my right. No warning just suddenly ‘bang’. Whole car shuddered. It was so bad -never hit such a bad hole before ever - it gave me an instant flat tyre. So dangerous as I’m in 3rd lane of busy 3 lane flyover and no where to pull over. I had to drive slowly and limp along until I could pull off at Baker Street. Tyre and wheel completely done in! I pulled over on York street two cars away from a white Mercedes driver who was trying to pump his tyre. I went to ask if i could borrow his electric pressure pump and learnt that he had just hit the same pothole on the flyover. Goodness knows how many more cars have been damaged. I Couldn’t pump my tyre it just hissed. Tyre and wheel badly damaged. Really cross. Ruined me short trip to London as now have to get this fixed. I want compensation. Damage is severe and very damaging to cars. I want compensation for this damage - I think it’s compromised my my whole car chassis it was so bad.
