The whole junction is rutted craked warped and disintergating by the minute

Reported via mobile in the Pothole (major) category anonymously at 08:07, Sat 7 January 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4096993.

This junction is rapidly falling away before our eyes. The pot holes are so deep the buses shake our house every time one passes. Its a marvel there are so many patches it looks abysmal and traffic bounces through all the cracks and ruts. Its warped and many accidents are happening as people try to avoid the holes. The white lines are non existent adding to the confusion and unnecessary amounts of horn use. And yet the yellow box Junction was repainted not long ago for the cameras benifit. It has been neglected too long and will cost a life eventually. The issue has been their for the last 7 years. I repeat the whole junction is bad... Its more than a cheeky patch job.

  • I regularly cycle this junction and it is becoming dangerous. In order to save my cycle from damage, I and other cyclists have to weave through the uneven surface and potholes. Understandably this upsets overtaking drivers and endangers both them and cyclists. There will be a fatality at some point. In addition, the cycle Lane leading to the junction is seldom cleared of debris and is also in poor condition leading to similar problems.

  • Still nothing.... No white lines or lane markings. 10 lovely deep holes in the middle, drivers swerving to avoid swerving cyclists, busses shaking houses, huge ruts and cracks at pedestrian crossings, so how the elderly infirm and disabled manage who knows. All the loose chips piling up on the pavements. It's an absolute disgrace. Drivers constantly sounding horns as with a lack of white lines and markings nobody knows where to go. The funny thing is the box junction is the only visible thing.... we all know why.

What is the point of vehicles having an MOT to check they are fit and safe for the roads, when the state the roads have been allowed to get in make them unsafe for everyone?

Something needs to be done. Not after pointless reviews.... or more dithering, But by fixing it.

I would like to sleep without the house being shaken.
