Noisy manhole cover

THIS IS A REPEAT COMPLAINT AS THAMES WATER HAVE NOT FIXED THE PROBLEM SINCE BEING NOTIFIED ON 15TH NOVEMBER:
Outside 67 Telford Road (A406) N11. Continuous noise from manhole cover for several months on this very busy road. Reported to Thames Water several weeks ago but problem still persists, day and night, causing disturbed sleep and constant irritation during the day. During the last few years this problem has arisen some 6 times, each occurrence necessitating multiple correspondence.
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.
