Witnessed (15/01/23) light on green for only 7 Seconds
Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 16:17, Mon 16 January 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4137000.
At the weekends (Sat/Sun), the lights for northbound traffic from Lower Addiscombe Road, to Long lane, only stay green for 7 seconds. This lets only a few cars through. This is the cause of the large delays and tailbacks into Addiscombe at the weekends. The lights from Spring Lane (southbound) to the A222 (southbound) stay green for around 25 seconds, allowing a lot more traffic through (clears all the queue). During the weekdays, the lights are green for a decent amount of time, and therefore little congestion. A traffic signal with just 7 seconds green, will cause massive pollution and carbon emissions!!.
