Major Blockage in Drain by Pedestrian Crossing
Reported via mobile in the Blocked drain category anonymously at 16:37, Wednesday 18 January 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4145953.
Major Blockage in Drain by Pedestrian Crossing (traffic lights)
During heavy rain this causes major floods
The drain was looked at today and it's evident it is heavily blocked with a solid layer of dirt, muck and all sorts of stuff. You cannot see the rain water through the grill.
The potential cause of the major blockage could be tree litter during autumn and winter.
This has been going on for many years and drains still not unblocked.
Please can you ask your contractors to arrange for industrial heavy duty machines to clear out the major blockage in the drains.
