Large pothole middle lane southbound carriageway a3

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (minor) category anonymously at 17:10, Wednesday 18 January 2023

Sent to TfL 2 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS4146084.

Yesterday hit a pothole located in middle lane carriageway of A3, travelling southbound towards Tolworth. It blew out my front left tyre. Please repair, and I would like to know how I can claim for the replacement tyre. I have tried calling but the phone line has advised I report the problem on here.

  • I was driving along the A3 Southbound at 6.20am on the 18th January in the middle lane travelling towards Tolworth, I hit a pothole unable to swerve as out was dangerous and it has blown my front passenger tyre and totally damaged the wheel, I had to be towed away and both have had to be replaced. How can I claim for this please ?

  • Following this incident which I have reported, I hope the pothole has repaired but I would also like to know more about your process where one can claim reimbursement for the damage caused to my car. I have tried calling the number you advise above to discuss but it keeps referring to me here. Please can you advise how to proceed. Thank you.
