Pedestrian Crossing Lights go red every 8 seconds.

Reported via desktop in the General Fault category anonymously at 09:22, Thursday 19 January 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4147824.

This issue may have been reported already but as of 9:20am on 19th Jan it is NOT fixed. The pedestrian lights change every 8 seconds, the wait button then illuminates again on its own and the lights go red. This happens 24 hrs a day every day since yesterday morning. Please fix this asap - it's causing major traffic congestion particularly in rush hour and noise disturbance with the non stop crossing beeping all day.

Updates

  • Please provide an update on when this traffic light problem will be fixed. It is URGENT. Your customer services number 0343 222 1234 goes nowhere by the way - follow all the correct options and it eventually tells you to log the issue on the website and then hangs up. Not helpful.
