Manhole cover in middle of street o/s 90 Redcliffe Gdns

Sent to TfL 3 days, 16 hours, 14 minutes later. TfL ref: FMS4153381.

The problem is that the lid/ manhole cover is in two parts which bang together every time a vehicle passes over it which is constant as Redcliffe Gdns is an arterial route from North to South London. Can manhole cover please be replaced by a solid lid/cover

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. We appreciate this. This has now been investigated and we’ve reported this to our contractors. If the area of the drain cover is identified as a safety issue it will be made safe within four hours. If it isn't a safety issue, we will aim to resolve it within 28 days. Should you need anything else, or have any questions, you may wish to contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234.

    Please also be aware that all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, we aim to fix the fault within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer.

  • Hello. I have tried calling the suggested number above but the call is always terminated and I am directed to this website. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that this has still not been fixed despite many complaints about it over the last (at least) 8 months. Please can you fix / replace this manhole cover as its constant noise really negatively affects the lives of many people living around it. Thank you
