The manhole cover situated on the northern pavement of the A205 almost opposite West Dulwich Station is sitting significantly proud of the pavement that whilst passing along there on Monday of last week I tripped and fell as a direct result of this matter. I have been left with bruising to my knees and chin, have sprained my right wrist badly and have damaged my glasses.

You have responded to my complaint to tell me that somebody will look at the area and a repair will be carried out "within 24 hours if this is a health and safety issue" I assert that it is a health and Safety issue because the manhole cover is sitting proud of the pavement by a significant amount. In addition the pavement along that entire stretch is in poor condition and needs to be reviewed to avoid further accidents. Within my initial communication I asked that you confirm if you preferred to settle the cost of the repair or replacement of my glasses or if you wished me to make an insurance claim and to provide me with the relevant details if that was your preferred option. No one has responded to me about this.
