Traffic lights too short for pedestrians

Reported via mobile in the All out category anonymously at 18:19, Friday 20 January 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4154572.

This crossing is used by hundreds of kids and parents in the school opening and closing hours. It’s also been reported that so many cars just cross on red light here, I’ve personally witnessed at least 3 in the last quarter, some quite dangerous for us.

Now there’s been another negative change for the pedestrians as green light duration has been cut down. This creates long queues of pedestrians, mostly kids, in the island. Many of them try to cross the road on red light cause simply there’s just so much crowd. I believe parents of school kids, and everyone using this crossing on foot, agrees that things became very dangerous with this latest change. Please review the duration of pedestrian green lights before someone gets hurt.
