Updates

  • Is there any update about this issue. This is causing major traffic and disruption on the road. Also, we have had incidents of road rage occurring as some drivers are stopping at the red light and others are not. This could cause a potential accident.

  • Problem with the Pelicon lights needlessly going to Red and causing big traffic tail backs. The pedestrian button appears to be stuck in the on position constantly requesting the traffic to stop.

  • Please provide an update regarding this issue. The issue with the lights is causing major traffic disruption in the local area. There has been a couple of occasions today when instances of road rage have occurred and potential accidents have nearly happened as some drivers are refusing to stop and are overtaking other cars at the lights.

  • 28 days is too long to fix this issue. There is a major safety issue as drivers are now ignoring the faulty red lights even when pedestrians are crossing. Someone nearly got run over this morning.

I urge you to either turn the lights off ASAP or treat this an urgent issue before someone gets run over.

Also, the lights are causing long delays at the polish air memorial roundabout, which is a major intersection to the A40 and causing additional delays on the A40 during rush hour. It is also causing long delays at station approach and the Victoria road junction leading into station approach.

  • Totally agree with the above update. We need the lights to be switched off this will cause an accident and is causing major disruption in the area

Posted anonymously at 11:43, Monday 23 January 2023

  • This is now urgent. We have near misses with cars refusing to stop at the traffic lights and nearly hitting pedestrians. Please turn off these lights ASAP or this could lead to someone being hurt. If the lights cannot be repaired today they at least need to be covered so they can be ignored.

  • Needs sorting ASAP.

  • Please kindly review and resolve the issue if pedestrian lights continually turning red. I see it was reported already but no actions taken! Causing considerable traffic build up!! Thanks.
