Incorrect speed limit on the North circular Road 50mph by Coppetts Close where there are about 200 residents living there.

On the North Circular Road going Eastbound about 200 meters before the entrances to Coppetts Close N12 0AG,the speed limit is 50MPH

This has been an ongoing issue that has not been resolved. Having spoken to Both Chrys Rasiah and Geoff Elwin it looks that we needed to report the problem through the TFL Official complaints route which I am doing now.

The First and second phase of the project has been completed already by the TFL Engineers and Architects but no actions have been taken yet.

About a year or so ago, the Contractors were newly appointed and we were waiting for them to organise themselves. We as the 200 residents of Coppetts Close , we feel very unsafe in the area while Motor vehicles and HGV's pass on the North Circular Road at 50 MPH while going on the North Circular Road by Coppetts Close . We the residents believe that the speed limit is incorrect and should be about 30 MPH as 200 people live in Coppetts Close which is by the North Circular Road going Eastbound...about 5 years ago, we had a camera on the North Circular just before the entrances to Coppetts Close and it has been taken away about 4.5 years ago.

Since then there has been lots of road accident around this area about more than 100 cases in the last year. We believe that the Road Design Team at TFL and the Road Accident Management Team and the Highway Agency team at TFL need to work together to see that the speed limit should be reduce to 30 MPH around the bend on the North Circular Road by entrance to Coppetts Close. Even the Big sign panel on the North Circular Road Eastbound about 300 meters before entrance to Coppetts Close have been savagely destroyed by Motor vehicles crashing in them. The Engineering team at TFL need to do a full Report on this and look to revise the Speed Limit in the area because of the 200residents living in the 45 houses on Coppetts Close.
