The pedestrian 'wait' button is permanently on
Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 20:56, Thursday 2 February 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4198225.
The 'wait' is immediately switched on following a red light, even when the button has not been pressed. This means that traffic is stopping unnecessarily (and generating pollution) and the loud beep signal is constantly triggered every two minutes and continues until late at night (which is distressing for local residents). Please can this be fixed and the volume of the signal be reduced.
