Roadworks overrunning on A2213 safety issue

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 13:21, Fri 24 February 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4260741.

Roadworks on Kidbrooke Park Road southbound were due to complete on Thursday 23rd of February. They impact a major road which routes traffic from the A2 onto other A roads and into the surrounding area. I am aware these are now planned to complete on Monday 27th of February. These roadworks are causing actual gridlock on small local residential streets as vehicles look for alternative routes down diversions. For example, Birdbrook Road off Rochester Way was impassable yesterday for 30 minutes as vehicles blocked both directions. This is significantly impacting journey times and increasing pollution in the area. It is also making the roads unsafe for children attending Thomas Tallis school where there is a significant increase in traffic due to the overrunning roadworks. I suggest the roadworks are expedited to complete today, Friday 24th of February. Please advise on a plan to make this happen to address the pollution and safety issue
