On the evening of Saturday 12th February my wife and I were walking along the pavement just past Manette Street, W1 wheoi tripped on the pan hole cover and I landed on my knee, opening up a scar from a previous operation. My knee was extremely painful and swollen but we continued on to meet friends for dinner in Covent Garden It was so painful that I had to get a taxi back to our hotel in Marble Arch after dinner The following morning, rather than have a day exploring London as we originally had planned, we got a taxi back to our car in North London and journeyed home to Northamptonshire.
The wound on my knee is still sore but I’m more concerned that someone else could suffer the same fate as I did with the man hole cover
