Toucan Crossing Button Not Working

Reported via desktop in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 12:07, Tue 7 March 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4289279.

Essex Road (area K South) N1 2RX This is a toucan (or puffin) crossing, the south side of the traffic light has a button you need to push to request the crossing, however as you push the button to request nothing happens, no light comes on and you have to wait eternally until someone on the other side presses the button. People cross without waiting because this doesn't work and don't wait for someone on the other side to press the button.
