Wait buttons not working (again)
Reported via mobile in the Pedestrian wait button not working category by John Morgan-Evans at 10:56, Tue 14 March 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4311312.
The wait buttons at these lights do not work properly. This had been the case for some time. This is a crossing over double lanes if traffic on a busy road. The crossing is used by young children and mothers. It is unacceptable and dangerous that this equipment has not been repaired or replaced with something more reliable. Someone will be killed or seriously injured if this is not sorted out
Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we can confirm that there is a fault with the pedestrian wait button. We have therefore referred this to our contractors and it will be fixed within 28 days. Should you need anything else or have any questions, you may wish to contact our customer services team on 0343 222 1234
Please also be aware that, all Action Scheduled reports are automatically closed after 28 days. However, the fault will be fixed within this timescale, which may be sooner, or in a few cases take a little longer
