Faded road markings causing near misses at start of bus lane

Reported via desktop in the Worn out road markings category anonymously at 21:37, Saturday 18 March 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4329604.

The centre markings between the lanes on the approach from the South are faded. This is a real problem here, as the lanes swerve and the bus lane crosses over from right to left (which you only see at the last minute). This makes many drivers think they have to merge lanes to avoid the bus lane starting on the left - they don't ! So near-collisions occur, this has happened to me twice. Everyone needs the lane markings to clearly show them to stay in the same lane they approached the bridge in. Please repaint these lines! Signage may also help.
