Over the westbound carriageway) the green crossing light for pedestrians does not always display, when the traffic lights shows red to the motorist. Pedestrians press button to cross, the cars towards Redbridge roundabout are stopped by the traffic lights, BUT the green indicator for safe crossing does not always light. Pedestrians are aware of this fault, and so many cross the road assuming the Green crossing light has not displayed, when in reality the cars still have priority - pedestrians are endangered by this fault. I reported this earlier this year, and received an email (no reference number provided) saying "State changed to: Fixed". It is NOT fixed, it is a permanent danger. Could the setting be for the green crossing light for pedestrians to ALWAYS illuminate when the westbound traffic is halted by the red light facing them?
