Manhole Cover Missing
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4342658.
Manhole Cover was missing as detailed in photograph enclosed. My front offside tyre hit the rim of the broken manhole and split the tyre on impact. I immediately phoned the police after I found a safe place to park to put on my spare wheel to inform them of the very dangerous situation in case a motorcyclist was to drive into the open manhole. Photographs of police car attending the scene enclosed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This has been investigated and we have now referred it to our contractors. If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within one hour. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date. If it is owned by another company this will be passed to them for a permanent repair.
