Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4397082.
I am writing to express my serious concern about the poor road conditions on the A40. On a recent journey, I encountered a pothole on the road which caused both of my left hand side tires to instantly burst. As a result, I had to spend £450 to replace both tires, which has put me under considerable financial strain.
This incident has highlighted to me just how dangerous the road conditions on the A40 have become. Potholes are a frequent occurrence, and they are often so large that they cannot be avoided. This poses a significant risk to drivers, who may lose control of their vehicle or suffer damage to their car as a result.
I urge the council to take immediate action to address this problem. It is essential that the road is properly maintained to ensure the safety of all road users, as well as protecting the environment. This could include the repair of potholes, resurfacing the road or other maintenance works.
In addition, I am requesting compensation for the cost of my new tires. This was a direct result of the poor road conditions, and I believe it is only fair that I should be reimbursed for the expense incurred. The financial burden of replacing both tires has put me under significant stress, and I hope that the council will take this matter seriously and provide prompt compensation.
In conclusion, I urge the council to take urgent action to improve the road conditions on the A40. The safety of drivers and the environment must be a top priority, and it is clear that action is needed now. I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that you will take my concerns seriously.
Sincerely, Anthony Amin
