Right turn green light not working

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4418434.

The green right turn (to turn from riefield road onto welling way) does not work. The lights go from red, amber and then to green for straight ahead only - the new right turn green light never comes on.

  • Fault CUB0133167 already open for this issue and requires a recut of a detector in the road which is currently being arranged to be undertaken ASAP. MF

  • I cannot understand why the operation of the ATS at the junction of Rochester Way and Welling Way SE9 has been changed from a right turn indicative to a separately signalled right turn. The right turn indicative allowed right turning vehicles to take advantage of gaps in the on coming traffic. The new phasing requires right turners to wait for a full green signal resulting in a queue stretching back to Falconwood Station.

  • The phasing has recently changed for the right have filter going into Welling Way. This is causing terrible traffic problems. Affecting the motorway, the traffic coming from Avery Hill, the junction at Falconwood and all surrounding routes. Please revert to previous phasing where traffic was not held on a red light and cars are able to turn right when there is no oncoming traffice

  • This is awaiting a loop in the road to be recut, this has been chased with the relevant Contractor to get works completed. MF

  • Since the traffic lights have changed at Rochester way / welling way , there are now large traffic queues going back to Falconwood station waiting for new red light to change to green filter light . This junction worked great before the recent changes . It is probably worse in rush hour times. Also it’s makes the pollution levels go up in this area and the pollution monitor at the junction will collect this info and it will justisfy the ULEZ charge. Change the filter light back the way it was.

  • New traffic signal causing major traffic, filter green light to turn right from Rochester Way to Welling Way, was never a filter green light and worked perfectly, now causing major traffic jams! needs to be looked into
