The works have been sectioned off for works that should be happening overnight, however the closure of the lane is dangerous to all who live on the Sunray estate and Tolworth Rise South. Not only is the traffic terrible, journeys to school and work are taking three times as long, it is also impossible to get in and off the estate and up Tolworth Rise South in either direction. The local area is completely gridlocked at times and should an emergency vehicle need to pass to get on to the estate, they would not have the space to do so. The lane needs reopening each day to allow normal traffic flow and closed of an evening for safe works when traffic flow is much lighter. We cannot live like this for the next number of months.
