Unnecessary one-way roadwork - massive jam

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 12:00, Thursday 27 April 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4491120.

Since Tuesday 25 Apr, a one way traffic light system has been implemented on Fulham Palace Road next to the Peabody Estate. This is causing massive traffic jams both northbound and southbound and is having a major impact on local residents such as myself, as resident (idling traffic in font my my flat), as pedestrian (pollution), cyclist (very dangerous) and motorist (unable to get my car out of my home without being stuck for hours in the same street I leave in). This 1 way traffic light doesn’t seem warranted for the following reasons: - there has been no work on the street for the 2 days it has been in place - there is sufficient place to allow for 2-way traffic, by temporarily using the bus lane (the bus lane is anyhow unusable in those traffic jam conditions).
