Perivale Teignmouth Gardens
Reported via mobile in the General Fault category anonymously at 13:01, Thu 25 May 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4595235.
This junction has multiple lights which need to work with each other to the correct timings. For the past few months, the timings on the Perivale Teignmouth Gardens side has not been correct, which is causing huge tailbacks along along this section. The timings at this junction have been the same for many years now, but for some reason since approximately January, they have not been put right. I would kindly ask that you look into this as a priority… I would hope it is something that can be fixed remotely. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter, it will greatly improve the situation once it’s rectified.

The lights at the junction to cross the A40 are only green for 3 seconds at a time. This has caused huge tailbacks at all times of the day Mon-Sun for some months. We had to put up with massive tailbacks while the A40 had lane closures where in place, but this situation has not rectified since the reopening of the A40 because of the problem with the setting on these lights.

Hi, I wish to advise you that this matter need urgent action as my son has witnessed an accident near this junction. Cars in the nearside lane are attempting to pull out into the middle lane when traffic is backed up which caused a coalition so the lights do need urgent attention not within 28 days!

Traffic is tailing back from the A40 eastbound exit slip road because the traffic lights are changing too quickly. Today I queued for 20 minutes and 16 phase changes before exiting.

I am aware of at least 2 accidents caused by traffic backing up onto the nearside lane whereby vehicles try to turn into the middle lane and collide with the faster moving traffic. This is traffic going Eastbound and turning off at the Perivale junction. This is urgent and the TFL map does not show the correct traffic lights as there are two on the slip road. I counted 10 changes of lights last week and it was not a busy time. Please don't rely on your computers traffic backs up to almost the Greenford roundabout
