No sound for visually impaired pedestrians

Reported via mobile in the Pedestrian wait button not working category anonymously at 08:55, Tuesday 30 May 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4609018.

This crossing towards The Green Man has no sound alerts/signals for the visually impaired. My 94 year old goes there weekly for coffee mornings and, whilst she has the mobility to be independent, requires assistance as she cannot see the signal change lights. I have seen other visually impaired residents in this area and do t understand why this pedestrian crossing signal has not yet been upgraded to have sound signals. Please prioritise!
