Apparent lack of roadwork management to ensure utility companies complete their work speedily

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4612010.

Without any prior notice a utility company (thames water ??) have dug up the A41 southbound just past 5ways corner. Whilst this may have been urgent and essential the impact on all the roads around Mill Hill is terrible. As of today the restrictions are still in place causing major tailbacks. Why are they not working 24/7 to resolve this and alleviate the impact. We passed the location over the bank holiday weekend, no activity on site.
