Work is too loud for this time of night.

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4613032.

Again, the works are far too loud (I believe it’s a cutting tool) for this time of night. I, along with many others no doubt are trying to sleep. I have to get up at 6am so I order to attempt 8hrs I need to be trying to sleep from 10pm. I don’t see why the noisy machinery can’t stop at 10pm. I feel if I were making excess noise after 10pm I would be complained about. My last complaint was closed as having been resolved, well it has not. I would like you to review the timing of these works. Many thanks.

  • Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. It is much appreciated. This was investigated by our team and these works are connected to an upgrade of the traffic signals. There is an agreed permit in place for this to happen, with a short window during the evening to complete the civil works. The noisy works will be completed by the end of this week. We apologise for the disruption it is causing.
