Another lane closed another huge back up of traffic!!!

Are you aware that the work you are doing is creating inverse consequences like removing car lanes to instate a cycle lane on the road with most traffic connecting Holloway to Finsbury park and North London. Daily there are now hundreds of cars back up along the A503/Seven sisters rd and not one cyclist using the cycle lane (because they tend to use the MASSIVE empty bus lane as it was previously) the traffic is causing local to breath in more CO2 than previously being it this road runs along a really busy street cars now idle here for much longer than before Id like to know who approved this because the residents didnt !
For me to drive my car to morrisons on hertlet road through the one way system from Biddestone road it now takes me around 15-20minutes its 1.2 miles away obviously driving is the preffered when carrying loads of stuff.
The traffic on seven sisters road now backs up on to holloway road and as you have removed the second land there too are you aware of the mass traffic that has been created 3 lanes now go into one lane all for the sake of one tiny cycle lane image attached ?
Pointless work , pointless idea , thousands of cars pass here dsily so lets put in a cycle lane ridiculous.

Thank you for your correspondence on 31 May outlining concerns regarding an increase in traffic congestion around Holloway Road at the junction with Seven Sisters Road and along this corridor due to the construction of a new segregated cycle lane – Cycleway 50 - from Nags Head to Finsbury Park.
We want to improve the safety of road and pavement space for all users. Between June 2017 and June 2020, there were a total of 210 casualties among all road users around the Nags Head gyratory. Of these, 31 casualties were cyclists and 54 pedestrians. There are currently no cycling facilities at Nag’s Head or any way for people to connect into the existing cycle network, making it difficult for people to make longer trips. By creating a segregated space for cycling with Cycleway 50, we will connect existing cycle routes together and create a safer space from Camden through to Finsbury Park to encourage more people to give cycling a try. This scheme will also deliver other improvements including new and upgraded pedestrian crossings, lower speed limits, enhanced bus infrastructure and more space for walking.
We have analysed and considered many factors when designing this experimental scheme – including current and future cycle demand; road collision data; road safety concerns raised by boroughs and local communities; bus journey times and bus passenger demand in this area; connectivity of current cycle routes and looked at the social and community hubs at Nags Head and Finsbury Park and how we can improve space for walking and cycling in this area.
Cycleway 50 is being constructed under an Experimental Traffic Order (ETO) which make it legally possible for us to make changes to the road network and to introduce changes temporarily, for 18 months, so that we can better understand the effects the scheme will have.
We have phased our construction to minimise disruption and to concentrate works into small areas at any one time. Construction will be complete in November and the cycle lane will then be open for use. We know that the A503 (Seven Sisters Road) is one of the top 10 busiest corridors for travel into and out of central London. One of the key outcomes of this experimental scheme is to improve the efficiency of the road network and maintain bus journey times so we will be monitoring many aspects to understand how the additional cycling space and new Low Traffic Neighbourhoods are affecting overall road network operations. This monitoring data and feedback from local residents and businesses during our public consultation, which starts when construction completes, will help inform next steps on whether to make the cycleway permanent; make changes to the cycleway or remove it completely.
