Small works, huge impact/ delay

Works taking place by the cross roads in malden rushett, temp lights aren't allowing traffic through equally, causing huge delays. No need for a pedestrian route due to the low foot fall, removal of this will mitigate the need for the temporary lights and will allow traffic to flow as usual. The closure of a lane is too much, close the footpath and advise users to cross the road at the pedestrian lights and use the other side of the road.
