The manhole by the pedestrian crossing in front of 152 Cromwell Road SW7 4EF on the north side of the road is rocking and making a loud noise as cars drive over it. It has been rocking for a number of months but it has got noticeably worse in the past week. As the traffic is heavy the loud noise is pretty much constant and very annoying for people who live in the vicinity

If it is confirmed as a safety issue it will be made safe within two hours. If the manhole cover is owned by us, we will carry out a permanent repair at a later date.   • I noticed that work was performed on the man hole yesterday 31st August. However it has not fixed the problem. The man hole cover is still rocking and making a loud noise every time a vehicle drives over it. Please can you fix it as it is very annoying for everyone who lives close to it.
