Solid traffic along a316
Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 22:42, Monday 4 September 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS4958841.
•Witnessed crash between two vehicles today due to this traffic. Police were called- check reports. •Air quality for residents along Lower Mortlake Road at dangerous levels due to two lanes of idling traffic all day long for last week. The safety of children and older adults especially in hot weather this week with car pollution a real concern. •Similarly noise pollution due to constant traffic being caused. Engine noise and vibrations, music, beeping horns, drivers shouting at each other, emergency service vehicle sirens lasting longer as they can’t pass etc etc •No workmen seen on sight today or any other time have passed. •Can’t get in or out of parking space outside house within it taking an unreasonable amount of time. Also not safe as no visibility due to traffic. •Roadworks scheduled until June 2024 - we cannot possibly live like this until then - very concerned for our small children breathing the fumes and our elderly neighbour who is currently recovering from cancer surgery- please help us!
