Uneven Road Surface Shaking House

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (major) category anonymously at 11:00, Thu 28 September 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5040372.

There has been a deteriorating road surface outside my building. The uneven road surface has progressively worsened over time, causing significant disturbances to myself and other residents in close proximity. This issue primarily arises from the disruptive bouncing of heavy vehicles, ultimately leading to unsettling vibrations that severely affect the buildings in close proximity.

Initially, this problem presented itself as a minor inconvenience. However, as time has passed, it has escalated to a point where it is now physically shaking my building. The situation is particularly distressing during the night when cars and lorries tend to drive at higher speeds. The continuous rumbling of these vehicles occurs every couple of minutes, making it very hard to sleep and is now causing me deep distress.

Kindly request that the relevant authorities take immediate action to inspect and rectify the uneven road surface. Smoothing the road would undoubtedly alleviate this distressing issue and ensure a more peaceful living environment for all residents in the vicinity.
