Extremely loud manhole cover
Reported via mobile in the Manhole Cover - Damaged (rocking or noisy) category anonymously at 08:26, Monday 23 October 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5126226.
The manhole cover outside 51 Harleyford Rd SE11 5AX is now making an unbearable, extremely LOUD noise. Workmen made the problem worse last week while attempting to fix it and now the noise is unacceptable. Its so loud that the residents cannot sleep during the night which causes anxiety and stress. PLEASE fix the cover permanantly as the one outside 49 was fixed previously ASAP. It is causing too much distress.

The noise from the manhole cover outside 51 Harleyford Rd SE11 has escalated and is unbearable, it is affecting my mental health. It is definitely the responsibility of TFL and this has been confirmed in the past through emails, hence the previous failed attempt by TFL to fix it last week. The noise is unacceptable and my MP has been contacted. Please resolve this problem as urgent.

Roadworks starting at 2330hrs - just after residents have gone to bed, woken up by the flashing lights on the maintenance truck which is just sitting there before the other nosier vehicles arrive. This is the third time in the last two weeks that work has commenced at this hour with no warning from TFL to the local residents
