Totally unsafe for all

Reported via desktop in the Roadworks category anonymously at 17:00, Wed 1 November 2023

Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5163300.

Whoever designed this one lane insanity in 4 directions I’m sorry to say should be immediately sacked. I’m just a visitor from US and a pedestrian only but have been nearly run over by bike, bus, car, people multiple times and not due to the opposite lane thing. In no way does this intersection satisfy your own website pledge - “Be tidy and safe with a clutter-free site so it is safe for pedestrians, cyclists and other road users”. It is safe in no way, backs up traffic horrendously, creates loud noise outside my hotel. Cost me 5 extra pounds on arrival because cabbie couldn’t figure out how to get around the nonsense. It’s not possible any one from management has been down to see this or if so they too should be sacked. The intersection is right near a bust train station. A cyclists was seriously injured and possibly died one day during our stay. The setup is an absolute embarrassment. Sorry to be so negative but it’s really not acceptable. Injured parties should easily be able to sue and win judgement.
