Trees Obscuring & Blocking Safety light on crossing
Reported via desktop in the Low hanging branches category anonymously at 01:05, Tuesday 21 November 2023
Sent to TfL less than a minute later. TfL ref: FMS5235191.
The trees are so out of control that the light is not visible to oncoming traffic. This led to a car hitting the curb, nearly hitting me, and I jumped back into the path of the other lane to avoid it. THIS LIGHT IS OBSCURED BY LOW-HANGING BRANCHES, CREATING A DANGER TO LIFE AS A RESULT. The branches should not be touching an electrically powered instrument either.
I add that the actual tree is where a motorcyclist crashed into it and died. The vehicles come over Kennington Cross at 40–60 miles per hour, despite being in a 20-mph area.
REQUIRES ACTION. Cars cannot sufficiently see the traffic island
